For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to dance. After studying jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, musical theatre, and even a little hip hop and Bollywood, I decided to branch into teaching fitness classes to share that joy of movement with others. I love sharing my passion for dance and choreography in fitness classes and on stage with local musical theatre group The Broadway Chorus. I bring my theatre background to my classes, so you can expect me to be fun and ridiculous while we all sweat together.
After teaching Zumba(R) for 11 years I had to step back in 2020 to focus on other life matters but I’m excited to rejoin the ZV crew with dance fitness classes with a retro twist. Now in my 50s, I’ve struggled to find fitness spaces geared toward those like me who don’t feel they fit into a typical fitness class. I want everyone to be able to do a class and show up however they are, knowing that our bodies change as we age, but that there’s still a ton we can do to stay fit, strong, and limber through middle age and beyond.
I’ve been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 1996 and own my own clinic – Serenity Therapeutic Massage. My extensive background in anatomy and kinesiology enhance my BCRPA group fitness certification, helping me lead a safe and effective class.
